Sunrise, Sri Pada (Adams Peak) - Sri Lanka, 2000
Sri Pada (Adams Peak) in Sri Lanka is 2,243m above sea level and took around 3-4 hours to climb up 5,000 steps. At the top is a small temple, it has been a pilgrimage site for 1700 years for Buddhists, Hinds, Muslims and Christians.
I remember feeling a little tired on the way up, then a old lady about 90 years old carrying something on her head walked past me.
Photographed at the turn of the Millennium on my Contax T-2 35mm camera using Kodak Portra 400VC film.
